Leith Community Pottery is a Social Enterprse offering free and reduced cost access to classes and workshops to those affected by poor mental health, isolation, exclusion and marginalisation.

1 place on each Wheel Class and 2 places on each Hand Building class are reserved for anyone referred by NHS or 3rd Sector professionals.

When you purchase goods or services from Leith Community Pottery you are contributing towards our ability to sustain our community pay back policy.

Tutor Andy Lang has a BA in Ceramics from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and SVQ3 in Health and Social Care.

He has over 35 years experience teaching in Community Education and 14 years experience working with mental health, addictions , complex needs and homelessness.

All fees include use of tools, clay and decorating materials and firing.

All students guaranteed to take home finished, glazed work.

All glazes food-safe.

High temperature reduction firing in use.

Dress to get dirty or bring an apron/boiler suit/dungarees.

Wear flat, rubber-soled shoes.

For Throwing Classes, please don't go ahead and buy your own tools - you're unlikely to find what you really need on the internet or in local craft stores.

All throwing students will be given their own set of tools, including a hand crafted bamboo knife.

The only things to bring are a car sponge and an old towel.

Dress to get dirty or bring an apron/boiler suit/dungarees.

Wear flat, rubber-soled shoes.
