Craft Scotland survey
Craft Scotland have produced a survey to help inform future activity, and now invite makers to respond.
Craft Scotland seek better ways to measure a number of factors which we believe are important to building and maintaining a thriving craft sector. These include:
Stronger craft networks
A more confident sector
Improved exchange of information, on and off line
Better sector engagement with public bodies
Improved public engagement with craft
Better access to new audiences and markets
Improved marketing skills in the sector
Increased profile for the sector
In order to measure and track improvements in these areas, brought about by both our own work and other activity in the sector, we have worked with The Audience Business (TAB) to develop a survey.
Evaluation of the survey results will allow us to work from an intelligent baseline, and provide opportunities for makers accordingly. We plan to undertake the survey every two to three years in order to effectively track changes in the sector, identify new needs and plan activity.
The results of the survey will be published to the Craft Scotland website in the autumn.
We encourage as many makers as possible to take part in the survey, and to share it with their contacts in the craft sector.
Craft Scotland are offering one lucky survey respondent the chance to win a fantastic prize: a session with inspirational photographer Shannon Tofts worth £250 (or a contribution to a longer session to the value of £250). The prize winner will be drawn at random from completed surveys, after the survey closes on 24 June 2013.
The survey takes around 15 minute to complete, and every response will help inform future activity for Craft Scotland.
The survey closes on Monday 24 June 2013 at 9am.
