Inspired by my love of both nature and textures, I carve patterns into stoneware clay using a variety of tools with the aim of creating ceramics that make you want to pick them up and feel the surface.
Combining different carving techniques with glazes which reflect the simple palette of the Perthshire glen where I live, I create each piece slightly differently to make them unique whilst always retaining a functionality to make them useful as well as decorative. Sets can be made on request.
