THE POTTERS HOUSE POTTERY is based in Muir of Ord on the Black Isle in the Highlands. My clay and ceramic story goes way back but for the last 12 years it has been growing and developing an open community studio.
This has grown incredibly since 2020. During this time the pottery studio and my crazy ideas for developing the studio were supported by friends and family, some of who have now become potters too. My main role is teaching ceramics and today the studio, is busy with sales of clay, tools, hosting classes in throwing and handbuilding and also an ever growing membership scheme. We also are happy to fire potters work. Alongside the clay work we have a pottery painting studio and enjoy seeing the decorative creations from our pop in painters. We are the highlands one stop shop for all things ceramic, if the door is open the kettle is non and you are most welcome.
