I left Art Collage in 1986 and started a small pottery business making ceramic jewellery but, various teaching roles and the advent of a full time job as the photographer in the museums service of my local council authority took over all my time. I have slowly over the past years when time allowed returned to my first love of ceramics combining my love of the medium of clay and years of looking, handling and photographing some of our most precious objects. Slowly these objects, my love of ancient archaeology and my sketchbooks from years past have weaved their way into my ceramics. Combining the modern and ancient, corroded and shiny. I am creating new objects looking back or forward to past or future times.
