I am a potter based in Ardersier, working from a home studio overlooking the Moray Firth. I make functional tableware and occasional larger handbuilt pieces, with a particular fascination for glazes and experimentation.
My pottery often features illustrated coastal scenes inspired by the natural world. I value work that is well made but visibly handmade, and I love the unexpected moments that happen in the kiln—a crackle in the glaze, a soft glaze break, or a dribble that becomes a wave. Those chance elements are what give each piece its character and life.
