My inspiration comes from the natural enviroment and concerns with the state of our planet and the state of our material minds. I hand form my ceramics using plaster forms in conjunction with found objects for texturing. Recent work has used lazer cut buddist sutra text to creat texture and deeply held thoughts about our way of dealing with life. A set of vessels inspired by text from Kalil Gibran "The Profit" the chapter on Love. Vessels for storage based on Japanese and West African grain stores and Chinese funereal vases to hold some of my many found objects.
