I took up pottery just over a year ago, originally as a way to expand my jewellery collection with Porcelain but it's fair to say I'm hooked now! I've moved on to handbuilding little sculptures and carving intricately patterned dishes. I'm looking forward to experimenting with different firings in future and excited to keep learning and practising more techniques.
I've been working in communities for many years and I'm now looking forward to being able to bring my two worlds together by opening a community arts hub in Glasgow later in 2024 with some creative friends. We'll be offering up open access to our equipment and delivering a programme of classes in ceramics, jewellery making, print making, textiles and more.
