I have been working with clay for over 25 years and love the whole process, especially wheel throwing and raku firing, though I do mainly use an electric kiln.
Since 1997 I trained in Ceramics in Dundee, completing a B.Des. in 2000, and an MFA at RGU in Aberdeen in 2005. I then taught at RGU for 3 years and have taught ceramic classes in Arbroath at my own studio since then. I believe that working with clay helps stay well in these strange times.
The process of the earth's creation with the layers of strata, volcanic eruptions and geological cracking and erosion provide constant inspiration and I feel glad to be part of it.
