To brighten up the New Year, we are asking members to get involved in a mug and recipe swap. We are all very familiar with the mug swap from Tulliallan and this will be a remote version.
The idea of adding in a recipe swap is a nod to the fabulous array of homemade cakes and biscuits we usually see at Tulliallan each year and the number of swapped recipes that come from that.
To take part, all you need to do is email Fiona at lifibeagles@gmail.com with:
- a photo of your mug,
- a copy of your recipe (as a photo/word document/typed in the email as long as it can be read),
- your name and address for the mug you are receiving to be sent to,
and all by 31st December 2020.
You will be allocated a participant number based on the order you submitted your photos - like getting the raffle ticket at Tulliallan. We will then do a draw of the numbers in the same format as at Tulliallan to allocate a mug and recipe to a participant. If you are drawn your own mug, we will re-draw to ensure you receive a different mug.
All we ask is that you are willing to post your mug (and recipe) to its recipient and, in return, you will get a lovely new mug and a tried and tested recipe in the post from a fellow member. If we get enough lovely recipes, we will look into the possibility of an SPA cookbook.
Photos of all the mugs will be available (anonymously) for members to view on the website prior to the draw on Wednesday 13th January at the end of the SPA Coffee Morning. We will then email each participant with details of where to send their mug to.
By participating, you are agreeing to your name and postal address being passed to the member who needs to send you their mug and recipe and for your recipe to be used in an SPA cookbook.
We really hope you will get involved as the more members who take part, the more fun it will be.
