SPA Annual General Meeting
Given that our Annual General Meeting was not able to take place at Tulliallan in March due to Covid-19, we planned on holding an AGM at the Bield during our exhibition there on 1st November. However, Covid-19 is still very much with us and that plan has also been thwarted.
Not to be beaten, we will hold our AGM ON SUNDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2020 AT 10.30AM via Zoom. Members will be invited to submit any questions by email in advance of the meeting (as far as possible) to enable the Committee to have all the information to hand on the day.
As it is an AGM and being held via Zoom, we aim to keep the agenda very brief and only deal with essential and urgent matters that need members’ approval to help the SPA to keep functioning properly.
For it to be a valid meeting of the members, we MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 30 MEMBERS present on the Zoom meeting for the full duration of the
meeting. We anticipate the meeting taking no longer than one hour.
We really do need members to come forward and volunteer their time to attend the meeting. To ensure we will have sufficient numbers, we are setting up an “event” on our Bookwhen page to allow members to register to attend. We will keep that page open for members to register until 48 hours before the start of the AGM. If we can’t get enough members to attend, we will struggle to continue operating legally so please do attend if you can.
